The Role:
- Location: Charlottesville, VA
- Assignment duration: Sporadic Weeks Needed
- 24-hour in-house call, restricted to the hospital
- Cases: Vaginal delivery; cesarean delivery; circumcision; hysteroscopy; surgery for missed abortion and incomplete abortion; hysterectomy; ovarian cystectomy; D&C with or without suction
- Support staff: 1 front-office staff member, 2 nurses, 1 manager, 1 assistant practice manager, and 1 sonographer
- CNM support: No CNM during standard full call coverage. For coverage longer than four days, a CNM may cover portions of the schedule and the locum may serve as backup.
- NICU Level: Level 2
- Site Charting System: Epic
- ORs: 1 L&D OR and 4 main OR rooms; C-sections are typically performed in L&D
- Provider responsibilities/skills required: Full-scope inpatient OB/GYN, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, surgical management of OB/GYN emergencies, and hospital-based call coverage
- Credentialing Timeframe: 90 Days
