Odyssey Locums is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all visitors, including healthcare professionals and clients with disabilities. We strive to continuously improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at conformance level AA.

Our Commitment

• Designing and developing this site with accessibility in mind from the start.
• Supporting full keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
• Maintaining sufficient color contrast and readable typography across the site.
• Using semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and landmark regions so assistive technologies can interpret our content correctly.
• Responding promptly to accessibility feedback and making corrections as quickly as possible.

Accessibility Features

• Skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.
• Semantic landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) for screen reader users.
• ARIA labels on icon-only buttons and live announcements for form submissions.
• Modals (such as the cookie preferences dialog and mobile navigation) trap focus while open and restore focus to the previously focused element on close.
• Respect for the visitor’s “prefers-reduced-motion” browser setting.
• Forms with explicit labels, helpful error messages, and screen reader announcements on success or failure.
• A built-in accessibility menu (bottom-left of every page) with user-controlled toggles for text size, link underlining, grayscale, high contrast, color inversion, light background, and a more readable system font. Preferences are saved to your browser.

Standards We Test Against

Every release is automatically tested with industry-standard accessibility scanners (axe-core, both at the component level and across every public page) configured against WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 success criteria at level AA. Manual reviews and keyboard-only walkthroughs supplement the automated scans.

Known Limitations

Despite our ongoing efforts, some areas of the site may not yet be fully accessible. Specifically, the embedded chat widget on this site is provided by a third-party vendor whose accessibility we do not directly control. We have raised these concerns with the vendor and continue to push for improvements. If you encounter difficulty using the chat, please contact us using one of the methods below and we will assist you directly.

Texas Residents

Odyssey Locums is headquartered in Texas. In addition to the ADA, we recognize Texas Government Code §2054.451 et seq., which directs state agencies to follow accessibility standards consistent with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. While we are not a state agency, we voluntarily align our public-facing site with these expectations to support all Texans equally.
