The Role:
Cardiac Anesthesiologist Needed 45 Minutes from Tampa, FL
Location: Hudson, FL 34667
Target Start Date: Oct 1, 2026
Emergency Privs available with clean file.
Shift Times – 7am-5pm for dayshift and 5pm-7am for CV beeper call
Weekdays and weekends, as needed.
Average daily cases – CV = 3 or 4
Is there CRNA support on call shifts? Not for CV call
Anesthetizing Sites: 12 ORs/9 NORA
Number of Surgical Cases per Year: 9,000
Anesthesia Model: 9MD / 16 APP
MD:CRNA Ratio: 1:3. Care team model. Physicians do 99% supervision. Self performing cases is uncommon. Physicians are expected to be present for Induction and Emergence, participate in post op-care, participate in pre-op evaluation of patient.
Types of Cases: Level II Trauma, Ortho, Spine, Vascular, limited Neuro, Endo, EP Lab, ***NO OB***NO TRANSPLANTS***
Cardiac Case Load: With TAVRs, mitral clips, CABG, etc, 10-12/week. 40-50/month.
EP, watchman = 80/month.
EMR: Medaxion (for anesthesia charting)
Meditech for orders. Meditech for reviewing patient rec
