The Role:
- Location: Tyler, TX
- Assignment duration: 10/15/2026 (7a) - 10/21/2026 (7a)
- Cases: Scheduled colonoscopies Monday-Friday; perform scheduled colonoscopies and follow-up inpatient consults from the prior night. If additional GI lab services are required, the locum will perform them in the GI suite. Required procedural scope includes upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery/fulguration, variceal injection), ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic), PEG placement, esophageal dilatation/manometry, small bowel and liver biopsy, sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid), colonoscopy (with biopsy and polypectomy), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube as needed.
- Patient encounters per shift: 5-7.
- Requirements: ERCP & EUS
- Site Charting System: Epic
- Certifications: Active TX License, BC Gastro, ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS
- Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 days
