The Role:
- Location: Baton Rouge, LA
- Assignment duration: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Clinic + Call
- Shift Type: Full-time, Minimum 3 weeks per Month
- Cases: Non-invasive cardiology — outpatient clinic Monday-Friday (panel of patients to follow); inpatient care and rounding during hospital rotation every 5-6 weeks. Responsibilities include consultations, multidisciplinary rounds, reading hospital diagnostic studies during service week, on-site clinic visits, reviewing diagnostic studies ordered at clinics, follow-up communication with patients, and care coordination with imaging/testing teams.
- Each cardiologist has one weekly clinic reading day. • When on hospital service: o Their clinic reading day is reassigned to another cardiologist.
- Requirements: Active LA License or IMLC, Board Certified, & ACLS
- Credentialing Timeframe: 120 days
