Locum Anesthesiologist needed in Texas.
- Location: Near Austin, TX
- Facility level/type (level 1 trauma, community hosp, etc.): Community Hospital. Level 4
- Schedule/shift types: Release order. 1 Doc on PTO, 1 on Call 7am-7am home call, 1 is post call. PCDO is not given but post call doc is first out/on standby (70% of the time doesn’t get called to do a case). 4th Dos is precall and is second out in release order typically gets released between 1-3.
- Call: Home call. CRNAS cover Epidurals(In house). Drs come in for OR call. Call rooms available if outside the radius. Doesn’t matter where you live, just need to be there within 30 mins. Call back is on the low side.
- Weekends/holidays etc.?: weekends are call from home. Holidays call from home, no scheduled cases.
- # of MDs daily: 4. Utilize 3 daily
- Types of POS (OR/endo/OB etc.): 4 ORs, IR, OB , ENDO, CV(Light)
- # of POS run daily: 6 POS daily until 5pm. But typically runs 5 POS to about 1pm then at 5 gos to 1POS.
- Practice setting (medical direction/supervised/autonomous etc.): Care Team. 2 lines of services out of 6 is MD only. Call Dr. does own cases. Hybrid. Call Dr runs the rooms.
- Average # of cases for the team daily: 15-20
- Types of cases: General, Endo, Healthy Peds- Over 12yoa, OB, Ortho, CV (TEE), General Surg. Urology, Robotics. No spines, NO Neuro, Plastics- Cancer type, Podiatry, ENT- Plastics (Nose), IR. Pulmonology, Bocks.
- EMR: Using paper charting and for order Meditech.
- Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
