The Role:
- Location: 1501 Maple Avenue, Suite 100 - MOB northwest, Richmond, VA 23226
- Assignment duration: May 28, 2026 - August 27, 2026 (91 days)
- Shift Type: 24-hour coverage; office hours 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM for patient schedule; call hours 24 each weekday; 24-hour weekend call coverage.
- In House Call: Yes, through PerfectServe.
- Cases: Office and hospital OB/GYN coverage including routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps, decision-making for and performance of C-sections, VBACs, management of low and high risk pregnancies (approx. 90% low risk / 10% high risk), OB ultrasound interpretation (Level I/screening and provider reads), and gynecologic procedures (IUD, colposcopy, LEEP, minor and operative gynecologic surgeries as applicable).

- Number of Physicians in Practice: 4 physicians (1 will be on leave) and 5 midwives; APP Coverage: 5
- Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: 25-30
- Number of Exam Rooms: 3 per provider
- Onsite Lab: Yes
- Onsite Ultrasound: Yes
- What Percentage of Practice is Low Risk Pregnancy: 90%
- What Percentage of Practice is High Risk Pregnancy: 10%
- What Percentage of Patients are C-Section: 10%
- Required Obstetrics Procedures: Low Risk Pregnancy, FHR interpretation, NST/CST/FSE, OB ultrasounds — performance and interpretation, Level I/screening OB ultrasounds
- Labor and Delivery Required Procedures: Routine vaginal delivery, low forceps, decision-making for C-section, complicated delivery including C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs, repair of 3rd-4th degree lacerations
- Gynecology Required Procedures: Office/minor gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP), surgical gynecology including diagnostic/minor laparoscopic and operative procedures (tubal ligation, ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, LOAs)
- Willing to accept candidates that need to obtain state license: Yes — Active VA license required or willing to obtain VA license.
- Credentialing: 120 days after approved candidate submitted to onboarding team
- Weekend Call equals 6 Regular Hours Per Day + Premium When Called In.
