The Role: • Location: Grass Valley, CA • Assignment duration: Start ASAP — 91-day travel assignment • State License: Willing to accept candidates who need to obtain state license; CA license and CA Fluoroscopy required at submission • Shift Type: Varied — typical schedule 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM • On-call/Weekend Coverage: Yes; weekend call required • Cases: Interventional Radiology, Stroke CTs, ED and ICU imaging, outpatient contrasted CTs/MRIs, breast biopsies • Required Procedures: lumbar punctures, barium studies, various centesis exams with drains, CT/US biopsies preferred • IR Procedures: thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters; biopsies (thyroid, lung, others) • EMR / PACS: Cerner • Support Staff: Diagnostic imaging nurses and techs; regional radiology group available for overflow and after-hours reads • Workload: Approximately 50 studies/day + 4-6 procedures/day (CTs 12-15, X-rays 15-20, Ultrasounds 8-12, IR procedures 4-6) • Facility Setting: General acute care hospital (includes stroke certification) • Reason for Coverage: Resignation of prior radiologist • Credentialing: Typical timeframe up to 90 days • Submission / Credentialing Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible; State medical license required; Residency required; BLS and DEA required during credentialing; CA Fluoroscopy required at submission; clean malpractice preferred • Travel Preferences: Local travel preferred (no flights); preferred hotels for lodging • Additional Notes: Admissions per day ~12-15; ED daily volume ~85-90; average daily inpatient/obs census ~50 We Offer: • Dedicated 24/7 recruiter and credentialing specialist • Credentialing support (facility timeframe up to 90 days) • Assistance with travel and lodging arrangements • Top of market compensation structure and premium call pay • A++ rated malpractice insurance options • Referral opportunities The Facility: Top healthcare facility offering a full range of services with recognition for clinical excellence and comprehensive acute care capabilities.
