The Role: • Location: Madison, IN • Assignment type: Per Diem • Number of Positions: 2 • Assignment dates / availability: Initial start 10/12/2026. Specific dates needed include 10/12-16 (1 provider), 12/21-24 (1 provider), 12/28-31 (2 providers). Ongoing availability of 1-2 weeks per month preferred. • MD/DO required. • Shift Type: 24 Hour Call (7a-7a), Day Shift (7a-3p), Night Call (3p-7a) • One night call shift per week and rotating weekend call coverage expected. • Cases: General, Ortho, OB, Pediatrics, ENT, Eyes, GS, Urology. • Procedures commonly include epidurals, neuraxial anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and single-shot interscalene blocks for shoulder surgery (no catheter placements). • Pediatric notes: No patients under 1 year of age unless discussed in advance; healthy children 6 months+ may be seen for ear tube procedures. Tonsillectomy patients under age 3 are admitted overnight. • Privileges available: Full Privileges, Temp Privileges • Minimum years of experience: 2 • Geographic restriction: Within driving distance of Madison, IN preferred • Credentialing: 90 days • Other notes: CRNAs or MD/DOs will be accepted. The anesthesia OR team includes approximately 2.5 full-time MDs and 1 full-time CRNA. Facility typically runs 4 ORs daily and keeps 1 room reserved for OB. Primary call responsibilities are OB-related; for epidurals the provider may return to hotel while on call but must be able to return for medication adjustments or emergency C-sections (target arrival within ~17 minutes when on call from hotel). VBAC deliveries require in-house presence. Facility includes 7 operating rooms and 1 cystoscopy room, typically running 4 ORs daily with one room reserved for obstetrics. The practice setting emphasizes obstetric support, routine regional and neuraxial anesthesia, and general OR coverage in a community/rural hospital environment.
