Locum Anesthesiologist needed to start ASAP and work 6 months with a possibility of extension at a facility near Mission District, CA. Must have CA license.
- Providers can work either 4 or 5 days/week. Shifts are generally 8 hours long, but can be up to 10 depending on cases. Facility is confident that providers will get a minimum of 40 hours/week, if not more.
- Recent experience (last 2-3+ years of practice) with a mix of outpatient and inpatient surgical cases.
- Experience and/or interest in high acuity (ASA 3+) preferred. A large recent practice mix of chronic pain clinic or chronic pain procedures is not relevant to this position.
- No options for just outpatient work. Providers will be floated from high acuity patient to outpatient.
- Regional anesthesia experience preferred, but can be evaluated on a case by case basis.
- No fixed shift requirements (i.e. we do not have fixed 8 or 10 hour shifts).
- Recent experience working solo is required. Experience or interest in occasionally working with CRNAs preferred.
- Providers will float between 6 facility’s sister sites.
- Amount of coverage needed per month: Full-Time preferred, *must be able to do at least 2 weeks/mo*.
- Patient population/age: adults and adolescents 13yo+.
- Department description: Hospital OR coverage, typically only takes on general cases, on occasion regional cases as well.
- EMR: EPIC.
- Skills required: Regional skills strongly preferred but not required.
- Board Certification: Required. Willing to consider truly board eligible especially if they’re fellowship trained.
- State license required: Yes, State of CA.
- DEA: Yes, CA with Schedule 2/2n.
- Certifications preferred: BLS, ACLS - must be AHA.
- Must have at least 2 years anesthesiology experience.
- Must have recent experience at tertiary care centers
- Will predominantly work solo in the operating room, only occasionally overseeing CRNAs
- Trauma exp strongly preferred.
- Credentialing Timeframe: 60 – 90 days.
- $2,000 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
